Joseph CastroCPA, ABV, CFF

Prior to joining Jonathan Stief and creating the dynamic team that makes up Stief & Castro, CPAs & Consultants, Joseph was a Forensics, Advisory & Valuation Manager at Kaufman, Rossin & Co.

Joseph has extensive experience in providing forensic accounting and investigation services relating to litigation consulting in the areas of family law, business valuation, and complex accounting, finance and business matters.

Joseph’s primary focus involves providing family law litigation support services, including but not limited to, financial affidavit preparation, analysis of assets and liabilities and related preparation of proposed equitable distribution, asset tracing, income determination, alimony and needs analysis, and child support calculations. His role includes expert testimony and assistance at trials, mediations, and discovery management.  Further, Joseph’s extensive experience and knowledge has led him to oversee Stief & Castro’s business valuation department.

In addition, Joseph’s background in public accounting as well as his prior tenure as Controller of a private software company, has allowed him to gain extensive insight and experience in providing traditional audit, accounting, and tax services to individual and corporate clients including representation for tax audits and preparation of court-mandated accountings.

Joseph is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Florida. In addition, Joseph is Accredited in Business Valuation and Certified in Financial Forensics by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
